There is no doubt that Raegan makes me laugh everyday. Here are a few more classic ones she has pulled out this week.
"Someday's he likes to pull my hair." - as Blake had a large handful.
"That dress is NOT cute...let me fix her up for you." - playing dress up dolls and her response to my outfit.
"And here's the finishing touch." - adding bows to the dress up dolls.
"Come cuddle on the couch with me cuz I know that's your favorite." - she knows me too well. ;)
"Make me a present for Daddy." I told her he wouldn't be home from work for 3 hours. She said, "I'll be patient." - She likes me to wrap her up in a blanket and open her like she's a present. so sweet!
"I love you guys so much!" as she leans over and give Blake and I the sweetest hugs & kisses. This didn't make me laugh as much as get a little sappy. Love this girl!

{ Easter }
Egg hunts. Egg hunts. Egg hunts. That is Raegan's obsession. We visited Clark's Elioak Farm for an egg hunt on Easter morning. She loved the petting zoo and playing on the old Enchanted Forest slides. When we got home, it was more egg hunts in the backyard. The weather was gorgeous and it was a wonderfully memorable day.
{ The Logans Visit }
Beautiful crazy life is right. We have been so busy and I have not updated my blog in too long. On that note, let's review (LOL!): we had a wonderful visit with the Logans last month. The week was filled with lots of fun events. We visited the Baltimore Aquarium, the National Zoo, and were lucky enough to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms while they were in town. The peak bloom was extremely early this year so it was a pleasant surprise. The kids LOVED being able to play with each other. Reece taught Raegan about "Star Wars." He also gave Blake one of his favorite stuffed animals, Ralph the monkey. It was super sweet! Olivia and Raegan were two peas in a pod. They all enjoyed 'porch fishin'" as well as REAL fishing with Grandpa. It was certainly a busy week, but we all enjoyed being able to spend time together.
Raegan was excited to be able to play Angry Birds with the Logans in town. The Govermans are behind the times and don't have smartphones or any tablets for that cool stuff.
We were all very sad when it was time for them to leave. Raegan cried :(. Looking forward to our visit to Nashville this summer. Another baby will be in the mix. :)
This is what happens when Uncle Jon combs Olivia's hair. She got the Farrah Fawcett 'do.

{ New Puppy }
Raegan's current obsession includes anything PUPPY! She acts like a puppy and wants to be called "Raegan Puppy." The plus is if I ask her to do something and refer to her as Raegan Puppy, she does it immediately. I do not mind that at all. ;) Her bed is filled with her friends, including 3 puppy stuffed animals and a teeny tiny puppy that has become her favorite. That one, however, is not fun to locate in the house when it's been misplaced. She barks like a dog, attempts to eat like a dog, pants like a dog and just acts as silly as ever.

{ Kids Say & Do the Darndest Things }
The main reason I decided to start a blog in the first place was my daughter's ability to say and do the funniest things. I wanted to have a record of the wonderfully witty & silly things she does on a daily basis.
Here are a few of the stellar conversations:
Grandpa: "Raegan, are you hungry?"
Raegan: "No...cause I still got poop in me."
Me: "Raegan, please get your finger out of your nose."
Raegan: "Ok, mom." Then proceeds to hand Grandpa the booger on her finger.
Raegan: "He is a drama queen." (referring to our dog, Leko, who was begging for food.)
Jon: "Raegan, do you want to come to the beer store with Daddy?"
Raegan: "Ummm...I'm holding Blake right now. Let's wait until he starts crying."
Raegan: "Where's daddy?"
Me: "Daddy is at work."
Raegan: "Why?"
Me: "Because he has to make money."
Raegan: "To pay bills and for my piggy bank?"
Raegan: "I love you Mommy. You're the bestest." (this just melts my heart.)

{ Imagination }
I thoroughly love how much imagination Raegan has. I feel like it is so easy for kids to get lost in television these days. I will not lie, sometimes, I think Raegan probably does watch too much tv. But, then I see how she can make up games and how creative she is and then don't mind those days when the tv is overworked. She and Grammy made up a game involving Grammy's legs as a bridge. Raegan tries not to fall in the water, or else the shark will get her. If she falls, she runs around the house from the shark. I heard her yell, "The shark bit my butt!" "The shark got my toe!" "He has my boot!" This is a spinoff of a game we made up in the backyard a few months ago. It was raining, so Daddy was running hoses outside to eleviate any possible basement flooding from the sump pump. Raegan & I (keep in mind I was probably 7 months pregnant) were running around the soggy backyard chases sharks and poking them in the eye. What a sight that was!
{ My favorite little helper }
Three years old is such a great age. Raegan is the best little helper. She loves helping with Blake, so much that she wants to change his diapers. I only wish I could take advantage of that! Yesterday we were lucky enough to find the time to do a little baking. She helped me with Banana Peanut Butter Muffins from Healthy Cooking magazine. They didn't turn out as yummy as I hoped, but I will adjust the recipe the next time a bit. Either way though, I enjoy being able to have her help and see how much she loves it too!

{ Genes }
Since Raegan is a mini-me, I am anxious to see what Blake looks like as he gets older. At this point, it's hard to tell. I do think he looks a lot like Raegan did as a newborn. So maybe my recessive genes are somehow 'strong.' Until then, I will enjoy this newborn stage because when Raegan was this age, I was terrified that I was doing everything wrong. My goal for the second is to relax and enjoy because the time passes too fast to wish it away!

{ New addition }
Now we are complete...I think ;). Our beautiful baby boy, Blake Joseph, was born on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 12:40pm. He weighed 7 lbs 7.4 oz., 19" long, and head measurement was 34cm. We are adjusting well to the new addition. Raegan, the big sister, could not be happier to have him out of mommy's belly. She is ecstatic to help out as much as possible. She wants to be around him all the time. We could not ask for a sweeter family.
Today is the first day Jon had to return to work. We miss him, but it is funny how the second time around seems much easier and calmer, besides the additional lack of sleep since napping during the day is impossible with a 3 year old running around. I would not change anything though. I cherish the time I get to spend with Raegan. I am over the moon that I get to stay at home with my kids. I love every second of it.
